Red Bank, New Jersey – June 15, 2016 – For the second year in a row, Educational Resource Systems, Inc. (ERS) was named a Finalist in Innovation in LTEN Excellence Awards, honoring best-in-class learning and development initiatives within the life sciences. LTEN will name the 2016 award winners at the 45th LTEN Annual Conference (www.LTENconference.com), the largest gathering of life science trainers and educators in the United States taking place in National Harbor, Maryland at the June 15 general session.

ERS, a leader in the life sciences marketplace since 1994, was recognized as a finalist for their innovative approach in creating an innovative and engaging Augmented Reality (AR) program, incorporating user-friendly navigation, complex 3D/2D medical animations/illustration, and full references to simplify a complex Mechanism of Action (MOA) and emphasize an unmet need in preparation for the launch of a new product. When users aim their iPad camera at a tracker image, a virtual-based projector initiates a series of holographic images. The program achieves three important objectives: (1) educate Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) within a pharmaceutical company about the complex attributes of an investigational drug with five different MOAs contained in one dosage/design; (2) support MSLs during unsolicited discussions with (Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs); (3) capture complex data metrics and map progression within the program to track potential impact. ERS presented a poster detailing the project at LTEN’s Annual Conference.

The LTEN Excellence Awards is the premier awards program in the United States recognizing innovation and leadership within the life sciences training and development community. Through the LTEN Excellence Awards competition, practitioners and suppliers enter learning initiatives and training content in various categories for recognition of excellence. Awards categories included: honors were presented in seven categories, including Innovation, Learning Content, Emerging Leader, Partnership and All-Star Teams. Finalists are selected by a diverse group of experienced judges and, from that group of finalists, one winner from each category is awarded.

“LTEN is honored to recognize this year’s stellar crop of Excellence Awards winners for their invaluable contributions to life sciences training and to their individual organizations,” said Dawn Brehm, LTEN executive director. “Each of this year’s record number of nominees were worthy of recognition, and our panel of judges had to make some very tough choices to determine the best and brightest. The addition of the new categories helped us recognize both teamwork and individual contributions to company success and to the life sciences training industry. Congratulations to each nominee, finalist and winner in this year’s awards program.”

“I am very excited and proud of our team for having been recognized by LTEN as a provider of cutting-edge, innovative training solutions,” said Gregg Terry, President, Educational Resource Systems. “I am equally grateful for our clients who are willing to partner with ERS to make a change in the design, development, and implementation of enhanced learning experiences for their sales representatives and MSL teams.”

The LTEN Excellence Awards was designed and developed in partnership with the LTEN Advisory Council. The judging panel was comprised of experienced professionals working in the life sciences education and training field.
